The beginning
In September of 1851, New York Times started off as a newspaper company created by Henry Raymond and George Jones. The two founders wanted to keep the company true to itself only being conservative when conservativeness is necessary and liberal when liberalism is necessary. The New York Times became apart of its first scandal with the New York Times v. Sullivan Case when the Supreme Court officially supported freedom of press and started the malice standard. The New York Times strives to enhance society through the distibution of news and information. After over 162 years since being founded, New York Times produced 58,000 issues of information. the company stiil strives to stand on fairness, integrity and truth.
